Yes, the Italians have a perspective on American culture here.  They tend to find our obsession with guns a bit insane, and I think this image speaks to that feeling.  I also think the tattered condition of Lady Liberty sends a message about the state of our country.

Message aside, I still think it's a cool visual, and the colors are really pleasing to my eye.
